IMU Navi Mumbai Campus organized a Career Guidance program for the Cadets explaining the opportunities in the Shipping Companies and other Maritime Sector.

The Indian Maritime University-Navi Mumbai Campus, hosted the magnificent Passing Out and Prize Distribution Ceremony for the B.Sc (Nautical Science) and DNS Cadets. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri.Rajesh Narvekar, Commissioner of NMMC.

Self Defense techniques session was conducted by Shri Philix Abraham and team from Shito Rio Karate, Nerul and Shri. N.S.Rao, Electrician and staff of T.S.Cahankya for all Girl cadets, Ladies staff and interested cadets.

Dr. Malini V. Shankar, Vice Chancellor, IMU along with Officers and Faculty of IMU Visakhapatnam Campus went on a trekking at Kombalakonda hills.

IMU - MPC organized Eye and Dental check up camp for all the faculties, staff, cadets and students in co-ordination with Kenia Hospital, Mumbai.

The camp was held on 19th April 2023 for all the officers, faculty / staff, Post-Sea students and on 22nd April 2023 for the Pre Sea cadets.

The ceremony was graced by the distinguished Chief Guest, Hon'ble Shri Shantanu Thakur, Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

The Kabaddi match was held between Red and Blue Team of Girl cadets in IMU Navi Mumbai Campus on 16.03.2023 and the Red team won the match.

IMU Kochi Campus celebrated International Women's Day on 08th March 2023. Dr Meera V, Registrar of Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT) was the chief guest for the event. Students have organized a small cultural program.

Indian Maritime University Headquarters organized a one day workshop on Gender Sensitisation.

Dr. Sarah Karunakaran, HOD and Shri Moses Selvakumar, Asst. Professor, Department Development Management, MSSW explained about the Gender equality and equity.

The workshop was attended by Officers, Faculty, Staff Members and Students from IMU HQ and Chennai Campus.

Sub Inspectors of Police Mr.Lingam Devakatte and Mr. Aakash Patil, Cyber Crime Cell, Crime Branch, Navi Mumbai delivered the Guest Lecture on Cyber Security Awareness to the Faculty and Cadets of IMU NMC.

Dr. Malini V Shankar, IAS (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, IMU and Dr. C. Sylendra Babu, IPS, DGP, Tamilnadu Police felicitated the winners of the Freshworks Chennai Marathon 2023 event held at Indian Maritime University Headquarters.

The event was organized by Chennai Runners and Indian Maritime University was a Venue Partner for the event.

Indian Maritime University participated in the 108th Indian Science Congress held at Nagpur. The event was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister of India and attended by School Children, Scientits & Personnel from various Industries.
